TeleNav Press Release
BackTeleNav Inc. Named MOMENTUM 2006 Company at the IBDNetwork Annual Momentum Growth Conference
Sept. 7, 2006
TeleNav Inc. will be honored as a Momentum 2006 Company at the upcoming Momentum Growth Conference to be held on September 27- 28, 2006 at the Computer History Museum in Mountain View, CA. The Momentum Growth Conference is produced by IBDNetwork.
TeleNav was the first company to launch a GPS navigation system on mobile phones in the U.S. when it launched TeleNav GPS Navigator™ in 2003. TeleNav GPS Navigator™ is comparable to in-car systems found in luxury vehicles, but offers superior functionality at a more affordable price. TeleNav GPS Navigator features include voice and on-screen turn-by-turn directions, automatic rerouting, full color moving maps, speech recognition, lowest price fuel finder, and more. TeleNav also develops a Mobile Resource Management (MRM) solution called TeleNav Track, which helps organizations manage mobile workers through location based services.
From the producers of the acclaimed Under the Radar conference series, the Momentum Growth Conference honors industry leaders dominating the next stage of the growth cycle -- a who’s who of leading companies with real customers, real revenue, real partnerships, and the vision to change their market landscape. Companies granted this prestigious honor are recognized as "ones to watch" -- role models for growing exponentially while gaining rapid traction in an exploding market.
“We are proud to honor TeleNav and are impressed by what they’ve been able to achieve in such a short amount of time,” said Debbie Landa, CEO of IBDNetwork. “We’re thrilled to be able to provide a meeting place for them to meet and discuss growth strategies, partnerships, and more with the major market stakeholders.”
The Momentum companies were selected according to the following criteria: significant revenue growth over a short period of time; a proven, scalable business model; user-base size; customers; and strategic, high-profile partnerships. Companies were chosen by IBDNetwork’s distinguished selection committee, who reviewed over 500 candidates and chose the top percentile to recognize.
"We want to thank IBDNetwork for this honor and their recognition of TeleNav," said H.P. Jin, president and CEO of TeleNav. “I am very proud of the TeleNav team, as we have worked incredibly hard to develop solutions which we know help people travel with less stress and help business become more efficient. TeleNav’s success in this industry can be directly attributed to the dedication and vision of all my colleagues at TeleNav, the commitment of our partners, and the loyalty of our customers.”
