TeleNav Appoints Bill Bettencourt as Chief Marketing and Sales Officer

Seasoned wireless executive moves with company into larger Silicon Valley facility

Sunnyvale, CA – April 23, 2007 – TeleNav Inc., the first company to launch a GPS navigation application on mobile devices in the U.S., today announced the appointment of Bill Bettencourt as chief marketing and sales officer. Bettencourt will drive sales operations and lead strategy development for TeleNav’s brand, marketing and
corporate communications.

TeleNav continues to expand its employee base year over year, reflecting ongoing innovation of its products and widespread customer adoption from its growing carrier relationships. To accommodate current and future growth, the company recently moved its corporate headquarters from Santa Clara to a facility more than twice the size in Sunnyvale, Calif. As the new chief marketing and sales officer, Bettencourt will drive further growth and advancement by leading the sales and marketing teams on product and service initiatives that increase awareness of TeleNav’s location-based service (LBS) solutions and maintain the superior quality of service the for which the company
is known.

As a former vice president of sales and marketing at AirTouch Cellular (now Verizon Wireless), Bettencourt is a wireless veteran with a history of success in launching and promoting wireless voice and data services.

Early in his career, Bettencourt held management positions with Frito Lay/PepsiCo and Del Monte Foods, where he managed marketing for national food and beverage brands. Later, Bettencourt leveraged his marketing and business management expertise to drive service business models as COO of Ingenio, a successful Silicon Valley Web startup.

Bettencourt received a Masters of Business Administration in marketing and finance from Cornell University and a Bachelor of Arts in biology from Whitman College.
