Q: Do I need extra hardware to use TeleNav with my phone model? How do I order hardware?
A: With the exception of compatible iPAQ PDA's and the BlackBerry 8800, AT&T mobile devices require an external GPS receiver in order to work with TeleNav GPS Navigator. It connects via Bluetooth and can be purchased through the TeleNav Store.  You can also order accessories if these are available for your mobile device.

Q: What is MEdia Net or WIX and why do I need them?
A: In order for your phone to get driving directions, maps, or other data, information must be sent through AT&T's data network. Depending upon your phone model, AT&T has two different types of data plans, called MEdia Net and Wireless Internet Xpress, that provide the necessary data connection. These are separate kinds of network connections purchased directly through AT&T. You can sign up for either service by contacting AT&T at 800.331.0500.

Q: What causes the TeleNav application to lock up or "freeze" on my Treo 680?
A: You may be running the BlackBerry Connect software on your Treo 680. Paired with a GlobalSat BlueTooth-359 receiver, the device has been known to lock up. This issue has been detected on TeleNav versions 4.1 and 5.0. As an alternative, you may want to consider the Goodlink software.
