TeleNav GPS Navigator is available for all current Java-enabled Motorola iDEN phones with GPS, the Blackberry 7520, and the BlackBerry 7100i.

Q: How do I order TeleNav GPS Navigator?

You can order the service by one of three methods:
- Credit card billing by TeleNav, Inc.
- Direct-billing to your Sprint-Nextel account
- CellMania, a third-party billing service for Sprint-Nextel customers
For either of the first two billing options, simply go to the TeleNav Store and follow the on-screen directions.
For billing through CellMania, click here to go to the Sprint-Nextel Digital Media Center. After entering your information, download TeleNav through the "New Purchases" folder of Download Apps.
Q: What version of TeleNav GPS Navigator should I download?
A: Individual phone models or certain billing methods may require a particular version of the application.
For example; TeleNav GPS Navigator 3.8 is specifically designed for Cellmania billed accounts and will not work with any other billing method once the 30-day trial ends. This version is intended for users who wish to use TeleNav but are not allowed to add services on their account (such as company phones, or phones on a limited spending allotment).
Version 3.0 has the following features that 3.6 does not: It can give Intersection Maps while navigating, and the navigation will continue to function while the flip of the phone is closed.
Version 3.6 has the following features that 3.0 does not: It gives the approximate time remaining on your trip, and you can set the locator permissions on the phone handset rather than the website.
Q: Why would I not want TeleNav GPS Navigator 3.8? A higher version number means that it's better, right?
A: This is a common misconception.
As noted previously, TeleNav GPS Navigator 3.8 was specifically designed for Cellmania billed accounts.
If you already have a Nextell or credit card billed account and then download version 3.8, you may be billed twice unless you were to cancel one or the other before the 30-day trial ends.
Q: How do I verify that my phone's built-in GPS receiver is working?
A: From the GPS menu of your phone, perform a Position refresh to find out if your phone is able to obtain a current reading.
By doing a GPS refresh and making sure your GPS privacy is set to unrestricted.
Go to your main menu followed by GPS. Go to privacy and set to unrestricted. Once you've done that go to position and press refresh(note please be outdoors)
Q: How do I use Locator / What do we need for me to locate my friend?
A: Friend Finder is a feature in version 2.2 through 3.6 of TeleNav that allows users to send their locations to each other. In order to use the Friend Finder features, both people must be using TeleNav at the same time. Simply select Locator Suite and choose the appropriate choice (Find a Friend, Send Location to Friend, etc.).
