Basic Troubleshooting for AT&T
Issue: Cannot install the application (Palm Treo 650 and 680)
Fix:
Customers with Palm Treo handhelds powered by the Palm OS may encounter this particular
issue if using a web browser other than Blazer.
If the customer's data connection is OK then they may be trying to use the wrong
browser or the wrong download link.
Before you begin:
Are you using the Blazer web browser? The Blazer web browser is typically labeled "Web".
We do not recommend attempting to download TeleNav GPS Navigator using other browsers like NetFront or AvantGo.
- Launch the Blazer web browser.
- In the address bar, enter http://ota.telenav.com/ota/tnatt and tap the “Go” button.
- The browser will ask you if you want to download to Applications (internal memory) or a memory card. Choose one of these locations and tap "Yes".
The download can take approximately two to three minutes. Once the download is complete, tap "Save and Open" to install TeleNav GPS Navigator.

Issue: Unable to reach server OR Unable to reach TeleNav server
Fix:
This error means that the application was not able to communicate with the server and can occur when your mobile device can't establish a data connection for some reason.
You can attempt to resolve data connection issues on your own by turning your phone off and then back on or by moving to a different area.
If the error persists, please contact AT&T customer support.
Issue: No GPS or GPS signal weak (most AT&T mobile devices)
Fix:
TeleNav GPS Navigator may display one of these errors when your Bluetooth GPS receiver cannot obtain a GPS reading OR if it is no longer paired to your mobile device.
Make sure your mobile device has a clear view of the sky and there are no nearby natural or man-made obstacles such as dense tree-cover or a really large building.
If you suspect that Bluetooth pairing has been lost, make sure that both your mobile device and your Bluetooth GPS receiver batteries are not low. If your mobile device and Bluetooth GPS receiver have a reasonable amount of battery life remaining, try to re-establish Bluetooth pairing according to your mobile device user guide.
If TeleNav GPS Navigator continues to report the error, please call TeleNav Customer Support at 888-353-6284.
Issue: No GPS or GPS signal weak ( iPAQ PDA's)
Fix:
There is a utility that comes with your iPAQ PDA phone called GPS Quick Connection you should enable to improve how quickly the GPS receiver obtains location readings..
It downloads a GPS almanac that tells the GPS receiver where each GPS satellite should be at a particular time.
This file is only good for 52 hours from the time of download and must be refreshed accordingly.
To download the GPS Quick Connection file:
- Tap Start
- Tap Settings
- Tap Connections
- Tap Quick GPS Connection
- Tap Download now. Allow the utility to download the files - this takes approximately 1-2 minutes.
- Tap ok or X in the upper-right corner 2 times to return to the main screen
If the error persists, please contact TeleNav Customer Support at 888-353-6284.
